I am getting a "412 Precondition Failed" problem.

"The precondition on the request for the URL /thekreathausblog/xmlrpc.php evaluated to false."

for my blog when entering http://www.kreathaus.com/thekreathausblog/xmlrpc.php?

I have tried entering the code

<link rel="EditURI" type="application/rsd+xml" title="RSD" href="http://example.com/xmlrpc.php?rsd" />

in the head. but still no luck.

is anybody having the "Precondition Failed" issue? would really love the help, as this is quite frustrating!

That error is coming up because of something on the server side. It could be a mod_security issue. Either way you'll need to look at the web server error logs to see what's going on.

thanks for the heads up joseph. sorry for my lacking of tech knowledge, but can you tell me how to check the 'web server error logs'? thanks!

You should contact your system administrator for help on checking the web server logs.
