Troubleshooting Help

  1. Hi -

    My name is John Bickerstaff and I'm working on the iPhone app for Automattic. In the interest of helping people with issues (especially with self-hosted blogs) I've offered in several places to do some troubleshooting on the specific blogs - but of course, I would need a temporary password to get in.

    It's just an option to help quickly resolve issues - I have a lot of years in support and that's how I generally solved complex problems.

    Some concern was expressed about this (and justifiably so) since I did not mention that I was working for Automattic.

    Of course, everyone should make their own decisions about what feels safe to them - I'm just offering an option that might help you get to resolution sooner...

  2. It's been pointed out to me that an editor role on the blog should be sufficient to do this work - admin access not needed...
