Communication/Parse Error

Here's the problem...
I have an iPhone 3GS running the 3.0 software,
I have a self hosted wordpress blog - http://blog.connormcc.com
Running wordpress 2.8I am trying to connect the wordpress for iPhone to my blog, but when I try to add the blog i get the following error
Communication Error - Parse Error. Please check input values.
I have been researching this the past few days and have done the following with no success...
Reverted from my custom theme back to the basic wordpress theme
Deactivated ALL my plugins
Enabled XML-RPC publishing protocols.
Validated using the w3c validator
Tried with both my users
Created a new user to try with italso tried adding the blog with resize photos both on and off, and urls
http://blog.connormcc.com
http://www.blog.connormcc.com
http://www.blog.connormcc.com
blog.connormcc.comtried adding the blog while on Edge, 3G and wifi connection
None of these worked, I am starting to get a little fed up, and will probably just give up soon... proving to be a real pain...

Same thing for me. I have two blogs, both running 2.8. One I use more and, therefore, have more 'things' on it. My simple blog will connect, the more complex one will not.
If I find anything, I will post it here, please do the same.

I too am getting this error.
I have 2 self-hosted blogs. One of them I used to be able to access via wordpress but now when I try, I receive
Communication Error - Parse Error. Please check input values
I have a second wordpress site that I then decided to try. That one works fine.
By comparing the two wordpress sites, I found that the Simple Pie plugin was preventing the wordpress iphone app from connecting. By de-activiating Simple Pie core, I was able to connect successfully.

I also have 3GS with self hosted blog - can't find XML-RPC on my blog is what I'm being told.

I have this same problem, please let me know if there is a solution. Thank you!

Has anyone addressed this concern? I am running 2.7.1 MU and you latest app. Help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

nope, no one from WP has got back to me about this, and I have had no luck on the forums, the only thing I could possibly do at this stage is to completely remove my wordpress install and do a clean install, which Is way too much work, especially as I have got my blog looking as I want it to

If someone could please workout the issue that would be fantastic. I really need this to work so I can upload pictures, unless someone knows of a different way?

I upgraded to version 2.8.1 and now when entering username and password the app just kicks me out... It puts me back in the iPhone user interface.

I have the same problem and was wondering if anyone has a fix yet, since it's now 6 months later...
I just downloaded the WP 2 app after using the WP app for months without even knowing there was a WP 2 -
Give me your blog url and let me try a few things... I'll let you know what I find.

I am having the same difficulty. In fact, I've never been able to login to my account using the WordPress for iPhone app. With the 2.2 upgrade I thought I'd try it again before simply deleting it altogether. What I'd rather do is be able to use it. Any thoughts or help available?
-
Are you having this difficulty on a wordpress.com blog or on a self-hosted blog?
If self hosted, please create a nonsense wordpress.com blog and try to add that one. If successful that will let us know that the difficulty is with the self-hosted blog and we can go from there.

I am trying to add self-hosted Wordpress MU version 2.9.2 blogs (using an Ipod touch, Wordpress App version 2.2) and i get the same error (Parse Error. Please Check input values and NSXMLParseErrorDomain error 4).
I have circled around the forum and the FAQ and tried everything with no luck
-XML-RPC enabled in settings
-Changed theme to default
-xmlrpc.php?rsd returns an XML file
- W3C validator does not show errorAlso, I could easily add a dummy wordpress.com blog as well a another self-hosted blog (using Wordpress, not wordpress MU but hosted on the same server).....
Any idea will be much appreciated. https://wp.cit.jmu.edu/
