After logging in with iPhone, cannot log in on PC
-
After using Wordpress for iPhone 2.0 for the first time, I cannot log into the blog as administrator on my computer because the wp-login.php page comes up blank. (Not missing, just blank).
Fearing that my Wordpress.org installation was old and got messed up by Wordpress for iPhone 2.0, I successfully upgraded to the latest version (as of 11/1/09).
But it didn't fix it. i.e. the blog works okay (www.rusharound.com) but logging in as administrator leaves me at a blank wp-admin.php page.
I've tried the fixes here (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/230295 including checking my theme's functions.php page for extra blank lines. Didn't help. Maybe someone else can?

The learning curve steepens.
My efforts have been focused on getting the wp-login.php page to load on my computer. (A problem triggered, apparently by the iPhone app, but now a problem to be solved using my computer.)
I tried the solutions listed in the support topic above, but in the end, the problem turned out to be a plug in that was incompatible. The solution was to rename my plug-ins directory to plugins.hold, then log in, then rename directory to its original title, then go to the plugins manager and update the couple of old plugins that were not compatible with the new version of WP. (See above - I updated WP in reaction to the problem caused by the iPhone app, muddying the waters about what actually caused the problem and what I was fixing.)
In the end, I got the plug ins to work and now everything seems to work. ...though it's hard to imagine that any of this actually started thanks to the iPhone app. But so it was.
