Dear All,

Here some feedback regarding the iPhone app:

My wordpress blog is set-up to work behind a http authentification (via an .htaccess file). I don't seem to get it working as the iPhone app cannot connect to the blog. It would be nice if you could add support for this.

When creating a new 'local draft' post, after I've typed some text in, when I select save it jumps back to lost of posts but the new one is not there. Rather frustrating if you've just typed in a whole host of text!

Currently when I insert images into posts, the links for those images automatically link to the actual file in the uploads directory. Is it possible to insert a setting (the same way you have for the default image resizing) to change that to either "no link" or "link to post"? The option is there when you upload images using a pc so I guess the functionality is in place.

I love this app, but there are two main problems with it that need to be rectified:

1) When sending a post to draft or published, if you lose your connection, you're screwed. Post lost, doesn't revert to local drafts. Fairly annoying, but I've learnt my lesson not to send it if I'm on a train.

2) When sending a post to draft or published gets interrupted, the post is lost. I'm not to know that someone could call me at any minute so I may not have the foresight to copy the body of the post before sending, so I'm at the whims of the technology I have in my hands so it feels dreadfully unfair if I lose a carefully crafted 750 word masterpiece just because someone wants to talk to me.

Please, fix these problems!

I know that the general idea of a blog is to post stuff and it gets posted now, but I am running a blog which tracks day-to-day information - it's called "One Creative Thing" and in it I post about doing at least one creative thing every day. Unfortunately, often I'm busy *doing* the creative thing so I don't get around to posting what I did until a day or two later - but Wordpress for iPhone won't let me backdate my posts (I've tried and the wheely thing moves, but then bounces back to today) so I can post them under, say, yesterday's date - for this blog the posting date relates not so much to when the content went online (which doesn't matter) as to when the creative activity took place. At the moment I'm getting around this by writing the posts, then sending them to online draft, which at least gets the activity tracked, but it means I need to go into 'proper' wordpress to reassign the date, so it would be fabulously helpful if a post could just be backdated within the iPhone app. Thanks!

When you use WordPress for iPhone in widescreen mode (I mean you lay down your iPhone) and you want to set publish date the wheel appears wrong. You can't see minute entirely. Wheel is slipped to right so you can see only date, hour and the quarter of minute wheel.
It occurs only when your iPhone is laid down and you go to set publish date. Even if you turn your iPhone the wheel stays slipped to right.
If you doesn't use WordPress for iPhone in widescreen mode (I mean you didn't lay down your iPhone) the wheel appears perfect. Even if you turn your iPhone the wheel stays at good position.

request id no 52 'password protected directory problem' has been put into 'future release'. given that previous versions included a work around for this, it seems reasonable that this workaround can be included into the next release, if not listed as an official feature.

I travel a lot without a laptop and use my iPhone to write long blog posts. As far as I am concerned, the WordPress for iPhone app is perfect, except for the lack of support for an external keyboard - the on screen one simply doesn't cut it when you are writing several thousand words!

I realise that up until now the iPhone hardware simply did not allow for an external keyboard, however I think I understood that with the new firmware 3.0 it should be possible, on an app by app basis, to implement support for an external bluetooth keyboard.

I am sure I am not the only person that would like to see this feature implemented, is there any chance of someone looking into this for a future version?
